Job summary

JRM Construction is offering a Summer Internship Program (2027) that spans 10 weeks, June through August, on-site at a JRM office or project location five days per week. Interns work alongside seasoned professionals in both field and office settings to gain practical, hands-on exposure to real projects.

Qualifications

• Currently a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering/Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated interest in construction management with a willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
• Previous exposure to construction projects through work experience, internships, or trade-based roles.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: Oversees day‑to‑day construction activities on site, safety, schedule, and quality.
• Estimating: Assists with quantity takeoffs, pricing analyses, and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Project Management: Supports Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents on active projects.
• Attend project coordination meetings, document key discussions and action items.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, and document control; maintain project records.
