Job summary

River City Construction LLC offers a hands-on Project Management Internship designed for students pursuing construction-related degrees. You will work with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams, contributing to active projects from planning through completion.

You’ll gain experience with scheduling, procurement, RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and safety activities, while learning project budgets, timelines, and client expectations in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree (construction management, civil engineering, or construction engineering).
• Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills.
• Shows willingness to learn and contribute in office and on-site settings.
• Able to collaborate effectively as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Support project scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor/vendor coordination.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, project documentation, daily reports, and progress tracking.
• Participate in project meetings, jobsite walks, and safety activities.
• Work alongside Project Managers and Field Operations teams.
• Learn how budgets, schedules, quality, and client expectations are managed.
• Gain exposure to RCC's clients, trade partners, and local market.

At River City Construction, our internship program is designed to give students meaningful, hands-on experience while building the foundation for a long-term career in construction.

As a Project Management Intern, you’ll work alongside RCC Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Operations team members to experience how projects move from planning through construction and completion. You won’t just observe you’ll have opportunities to contribute to active projects, learn from experienced construction professionals, and gain exposure to the day-to-day responsibilities of a Project Engineer.

Our goal is to develop future construction professionals while building strong roots within the communities and markets we serve. Through real project experience, mentorship, and relationships with our teams, interns can begin building the knowledge and local connections that position them for long-term success at RCC and within the construction industry.

Internship Experiences May Include

• Supporting project scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor/vendor coordination

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
