Job summary

CPM Partners, Inc. is seeking a Resident Engineer to act as the client’s on-site representative, overseeing construction execution, QA/QC, and safety compliance on complex infrastructure projects in California.

You will manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, and coordination among owner, contractor, and design teams. The role requires strong leadership, advanced knowledge of construction documents, and effective communication to drive timely decisions and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license; CCM desirable for leadership roles in construction management.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or higher for construction safety.
• Experience on public works projects (highways, rail, transit, water infra, vertical facilities).

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site client representative and oversee daily construction operations.
• Lead construction administration including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules.
• Monitor field activities for compliance with plans, codes, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate meetings, document minutes, and action items among stakeholders.
• Review contractor pay applications and validate quantities and progress.
