Job summary

PMCS Group, Inc. seeks a California-registered Civil Engineer to serve as Consultant Resident Engineer on Caltrans District 7 projects. You will lead a team, administer the contract, and ensure safety, environmental compliance, and project closeout.

In this on-call role, you’ll oversee inspectors, assist with CPM schedules, track costs, and respond to RFIs while coordinating with Caltrans and the prime contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (implied).
• Licensed Civil Engineer in California in good standing.
• Experience leading roadway/highway construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer roadway construction contracts day-to-day and document work on Caltrans CEM forms.
• Direct inspectors, testers, and office staff, set priorities, and brief leadership weekly.
• Manage traffic control plan, project safety, and enforce safety program compliance.
