Job summary

BRPH is seeking a Construction Project Engineer to support the execution of projects, ensuring the technical scope, schedule, and budget are met. You will assist the Project Manager with daily technical activities and coordination across teams on site in California.

Responsibilities include BIM coordination, risk management, and monitoring progress with subcontractors, RFIs, and submittals. Travel for project assignments may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Engineering required
• Procore or similar management software experience a plus
• TAKT planning experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients

Responsibilities

• Manage job controls to ensure compliance with technical requirements, contracts, budget, schedule, and BIM coordination.
• Provide technical support in construction planning, quality control, design interpretation, construction methods, and constructability reviews.
• Prepare daily logs, technical design submittals, reports, and inspection/testing documentation.
• Monitor daily progress of craft/subcontractors to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Address subcontractor RFIs and coordinate with the engineer of record as needed.
• Review subcontractor plans (PM plan, procurement, safety, quality) to identify risks.
• Support Project Manager in planning, baseline cost/schedule, and cash flow.
• Assist with subcontracting strategy, subcontractor development, estimating, buyout, and change actions.
• Maintain project risk register and mitigate potential risks.
• Lead master schedule development and three-week look-ahead planning.
• Lead permits, environmental approvals, and licenses; promote safety and quality on site.
• Oversee commissioning, closeout, and turnover processes.
