Job summary

DEW Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our Manchester, NH office. You will assist in overseeing all field activities, manage DEW and subcontractor personnel on-site, and ensure contract requirements are met while prioritizing safety, budget, and schedule goals.

You will coordinate planning, supervision, and self-perform work and participate in meetings with subs, vendors, and owners to drive projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in construction projects.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in turnover, planning, closeout, and pre-construction meetings with subs, vendors, owner, and architect.
• Provide timely input and feedback to customers.
• Build and maintain positive work relationships on site.
• Ensure new employee orientation and adherence to project procedures.
• Monitor field performance and mentor field personnel.
• Submit weekly/daily timecards and cost-code material invoices.
• Review budgets, estimates, and subcontracts to ensure alignment with project goals.
• Plan and supervise on-site activities of all personnel (DEW staff and subs).
• Coordinate CPM and short-duration schedule planning and monthly workforce projections.
• Ensure construction complies with drawings and specs and that safety procedures are followed.
