Job summary

Fortis Native Group seeks an on-site Superintendent to oversee a government construction project in Panama City, FL, including roof and HVAC replacements. You will lead safety, supervise crews, and ensure schedule adherence from concept to completion.

The role requires DoD clearance, strong leadership, and excellent communication with project stakeholders. Travel may be occasional; on-site with strict safety standards and Davis-Bacon compliance.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Valid driver\'s license.
• OSHA 10 or better or ability to get within 30 days
• EM 385-1-1 certification or ability to get within 30 days
• 6+ years of commercial/industrial construction experience with 2+ years federal construction experience
• High School diploma with strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a Safe Work Environment per OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate Subcontractors & Vendors to align with schedules and quality standards.
• Maintain controlled documentation and provide daily progress reports with photos.
• Recordkeeping for compliance including Davis-Bacon/Prevailing Wage requirements.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate with client, architects, engineers, and PM.
• Layout verification using project drawings to ensure installations follow specs.
