Job summary

Hedrick Brothers Construction seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent on active construction projects in Florida. You will help coordinate field operations, safety, quality, and scheduling, gaining hands-on leadership experience on-site with seasoned professionals.

You will spend time on project sites assisting with trade partner coordination, documentation, quality control, and safety while developing the skills needed to independently manage future projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of commercial construction field experience or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of commercial construction methods and CSI MasterFormat divisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with project planning, sequencing, logistics, and staffing activities.
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate daily activities with trade partners and help resolve field issues.
• Procure and track delivery of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Assist in preparing RFIs and communicating questions to the project team.
• Support manpower planning and identify potential schedule impacts.
• Complete daily reports, progress photos, inspections, and safety documentation in Procore.
• Maintain organized project records, logs, drawings, sign-in sheets, labor reports, and material tracking.
• Inspect work in place to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and project standards.
• Support change order documentation, pricing requests, and delay notifications.
• Assist with project closeout documentation and punch list activities.
