Job summary

Christa Construction is seeking a Construction Intern for Rochester, NY, on-site, full-time, for May 2027 through August 2027. The role offers hands-on experience supporting active construction projects and coordinating project activities under experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required; currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required to travel to project sites throughout the Rochester area (mileage reimbursed).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to read, comprehend, and interpret written information.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day coordination and administrative tasks to support active construction projects.
• Prepare, process, and track RFIs in a timely and organized manner.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of project submittals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Attend project meetings and accurately record and distribute meeting minutes and action items.
• Capture and upload site photos to Procore to document project progress.
• Support the change order process by gathering and organizing relevant documentation.
• Maintain organized project documentation, including contracts, drawings, permits, and correspondence.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and project requirements.
