Job summary

Wolverine Construction invites you to join as a Summer Intern, a paid 12-week program in Grand Rapids or Southeast Michigan. You will work on real projects with experienced construction professionals, gaining exposure to both business and field sides.

As an intern, you’ll partner with superintendents and trade subcontractors on active jobsites, participate in planning, safety, and progress updates, and develop leadership and communication skills for a career in construction management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Superintendents and Field Engineers to support daily construction operations on active jobsites.
• Assist in coordinating subcontractor activities to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
• Participate in jobsite planning activities including site logistics, material deliveries, equipment coordination, and workforce planning.
• Help monitor construction progress and communicate updates regarding schedule, quality, and field conditions.
• Conduct regular jobsite walks to observe construction activities, identify potential issues, and support resolution efforts.
• Assist with site-specific safety initiatives, daily safety observations, and enforcement of jobsite safety expectations.
• Support project closeout activities including punch list coordination, final inspections, and jobsite demobilization.
