Job summary

Wolverine Construction in Grand Rapids is offering a paid Summer Internship Program designed to give students hands-on exposure to both the business and field sides of construction.

Based in Grand Rapids or Southeast Michigan, interns work on active jobsites alongside Superintendents and trade subcontractors, developing project management, field leadership, and safety skills while contributing to real projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in construction management or related field.
• Willingness to learn and participate in site activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily construction operations on active jobsites.
• Assist in coordinating subcontractor activities to ensure safety and schedule.
• Participate in site planning, logistics, material deliveries, and workforce planning.
• Help monitor progress and communicate updates on schedule and field conditions.
• Conduct regular jobsite walks to identify issues and support resolutions.
• Assist with safety initiatives and daily safety observations.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and inspections.
