Job summary

Qayaq Construction is seeking a General Laborer to support construction site tasks, including site prep, cleanup, trenching, scaffolding, and material handling. You will work with hand and power tools, follow safety protocols, and assist skilled trades as needed.

Responsibilities include loading materials, measuring layouts, and maintaining safe work areas. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate equipment on active sites, with strict adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of general labor or construction experience.
• Occasionally lift 50–100 lbs; frequently up to 20 lbs.
• Able to work at heights over 12 feet.
• Willing to work outdoors in varying temperatures and conditions.
• Comply with OSHA standards and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean construction sites to remove hazards.
• Erect, adjust, and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Load and distribute materials, tools, and equipment.
• Measure and record layout dimensions for tasks.
• Operate pumps, compressors, or generators to power tools and move materials.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete with portable mixers.
• Direct traffic around active work zones.
• Dig trenches and backfill as required.
