The role also involves loading and distributing materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas. May operate a range of hand and power tools such as air hammers, tampers, cement mixers, hoists, and measuring instruments. This position may also assist skilled trades and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
• Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and machinery to appropriate locations.
• Measure, mark, and record layout dimensions for construction activities.
• Operate pumps, compressors, or generators to power tools, equipment, or move materials.
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete using portable cement mixers.
• Control and direct traffic around work zones.
• Dig trenches or ditches, backfill excavations, and compact or level earth using hand and pneumatic tools.

Physical And Mental Demands

• Frequent bending, squatting, crouching, crawling, and kneeling.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and ramps safely.
• Prolonged standing for intervals of 2-3 hours.
• Work at various physical levels (waist, eye, overhead).

Working Conditions
