Job summary

UIC Real Estate is seeking a General Laborer to perform physical tasks at construction sites, including cleaning, site prep, digging, scaffolding, and material handling. You may operate hand and power tools, load materials, and assist other trades while following OSHA safety guidelines.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work in variable conditions. Essential duties include repairs, installations, drywall, painting, cabinetry, and ensuring safe, efficient site

Qualifications

• One year of general labor experience.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently.
• Willingness to comply with safety policies and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs and upgrades to commercial and residential units.
• Build and install counters, cabinets, benches, frames, floors, doors, and trim.
• Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions.
• Replace damaged tiles and wall coverings.
• Perform interior drywall and painting tasks.
• Install window shades, blinds, curtain rods, and hardware.
• Maintain communication with Field Supervisor and report safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
