Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a Construction Engineering Technician to support multiple projects on-site at a medical facility in Grand Junction, CO. You will monitor contract compliance, assist with quality-control tests, and report key issues to management.

You’ll have 3+ years as an engineering technician, with an associate degree or related trade training. OSHA 30 is preferred, and familiarity with UFCs, safety and quality processes is valuable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduate from an accredited trade school or construction apprenticeship program.
• Educational requirement may be substituted by 10 years of directly related experience.
• 3 years of experience as an engineering technician including inspection and contractor oversight for facilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation of construction progress and support quality-control tests and inspections.
• Support the Construction Superintendent in advising the client on required management actions.
• Monitor means and methods of the construction contractor for contractual, safety, and quality compliance.
• Perform field inspections to review construction work and compliance with design and safety requirements (UFCs).
• Identify and track deficiencies and deviations from plans; work with team to mitigate and resolve.
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.
