Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking Construction Engineering Technicians to support the VA Hospital Grand Junction, CO on-site. You will monitor contract compliance, conduct inspections, and report on progress to the client and project team across multiple healthcare facility projects.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent trade training, with 3 years of engineering technician or related inspection experience; OSHA 30 preferred and strong documentation skills are essential for

Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduate of an accredited trade school or construction apprenticeship
• 10 years of directly related experience may substitute education
• 3 years of engineering technician experience with inspection/oversight of facilities

Responsibilities

• Ensure documentation of construction progress and support the construction manager in quality-control tests and inspections
• Support the Construction Superintendent in advising the client on required management actions
• Monitor means/methods of the construction contractor and compliance with contractual, safety, and quality requirements
• Perform field inspections to review construction work and design/UFC compliance and safety requirements
• Identify and track deficiencies and deviations from plans; work with the team to mitigate and resolve
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate for the position
