Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Permanent Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team for on-site residential projects in a fast-paced environment. You will support the Construction Superintendent, coordinate field activities, and supervise on-site personnel to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with top-quality workmanship.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in a superintendent-like role, strong leadership, and proficiency with Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Construction Superintendent role or equivalent.
• Proven experience in managing construction schedules, coordinating work activities, and managing teams.
• Proficient in Procore or equivalent construction management software.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and building codes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a diverse team of personnel.
• Exceptional time management and project organization skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• OSHA training and First Aid certifications are a plus.
• OSHA 10 Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site functions including scheduling, material control, and day-to-day direction of field personnel.
• Ensure all construction work complies with standards, regulations and building codes.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and project team members.
• Assist in managing project schedule and solving problems.
• Order materials and schedule inspections as needed throughout the process.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and employees.
• Promote job site safety and rectify hazards immediately.
• Ensure installations meet quality and electrical code standards.
• Manage workflow to keep each construction phase on schedule.
• Prepare project status reports and ensure schedules and budgets are met.
• Provide leadership and direction to construction personnel.
