Job summary

CannonDesign seeks an experienced construction administration professional to represent the firm on healthcare/institutional projects from start-up to closeout. The role emphasizes quality and cost control, daily on-site liaison with contractors, coordination with AE teams, and rigorous review of RFI/submittals.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years of relevant experience, Bachelor's in Architecture/Engineering/Construction, and preferred licensure and LEED accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience, healthcare/institutional projects preferred.
• Registration or licensure preferred.
• LEED accreditation preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities

• Be a daily on-site liaison between construction managers/general contractors, client/owner, owner's consultants and AE teams; attend site meetings.
• Review and interpret construction documents; develop sketches related to field conditions; coordinate with consultants and project team.
• Process, review, and answer requests for information and submittals within contract timeframes.
• Resolve problems on the jobsite; coordinate bulletins to contract documents; consult senior construction administration leadership.
• Monitor, review, and process closeout submittals; perform periodic QA/QC construction site visits.
• Coordinate with design team to interpret and process documents.
• Prepare daily and other reports as required by the contract.
• Be an integral member of the internal construction administration team.
• Adhere to on-site procedures and safety requirements.
