Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Configuration Manager to support the NDOC. This role will manage CM of development and operational systems, create baselines, and implement CM policies and audits across the system life cycle.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices related to configuration management
• Experience managing hardware and software configuration baselines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives

Responsibilities

• Develop design and establish configuration management planning documentation and procedures.
• Track system changes as identified by the team.
• Track licenses and license usage for software and hardware.
• Perform inventory and track management of hardware and software within the environment.
• Develop and track schedules for COTS/GOTS software release management.
• Provide reports on hardware/software usage as requested by the customer or program manager.
• Manage the change control process, including evaluating proposed changes and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Track and report the status of configuration items throughout their lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for configuration items and CM activities.
• Create and maintain SOPs for CM processes.
• Develop and maintain an IPAM system.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with CM activities.
• Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders.
• Provide training on CM processes and tools.
• Develop a knowledge base on system changes and outages.
• Establish a centralized repository for project documents.
• Create briefings on project status and milestones.
• Conduct regular configuration audits.
