Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant IT experience, or Master's with 2+ years.
• Several years of IT experience directly relating to CM.
• Knowledge of version control concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices related to configuration management.
• Experience managing hardware and software configuration baselines.
• Familiarity with Risk and Issue Management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience establishing goals and plans to meet project objectives.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with proactive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop CM planning documentation and procedures.
• Track system changes and licenses for software/hardware.
• Perform inventory and track management of hardware and software.
• Develop and track schedules for software release management.
• Provide reports on hardware/software usage.
• Manage change control processes and assess proposed changes.
• Track and report the status of configuration items throughout their lifecycle.
• Maintain CM documentation and project charters.
• Create and maintain SOPs for CM processes.
• Establish and maintain IPAM system with the team.
• Identify and mitigate CM risks affecting timeline or budget.
• Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders.
• Provide CM training and education to team members.
• Conduct regular configuration audits.
• Create project status briefings and milestones reports.
