RJH Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service, LLC. in the DC area seeks an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician for a long-term on-site role at a client location in McLean, VA. The position offers consistent hours, a stable work environment, and strong team support.

You will service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain walk-in coolers, freezers, ice machines, and other commercial cooking equipment, with opportunities to mentor an apprentice and grow with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial food service and refrigeration experience.
• EPA certification.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Experience with walk-in/reach-in refrigeration, ice machines, and commercial cooking equipment preferred.
• Journeyman License preferred.
• CFESA certification is a plus; training available for qualified candidates.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide and use personal hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.

Responsibilities

Commercial Refrigeration Service Technician

for a long-term, on-site position at one of our valued client locations, offering consistent hours, a stable work environment, and strong team support.

What You’ll Do

• Service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and food service equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues
• Work with equipment including:
• Walk-in coolers and freezers
• Reach-in refrigerators
• Ice machines
• Commercial ovens, grills, and stoves
• Mixers and small appliances
• Dish machines and hood systems
• Food warming and cooling equipment
• Perform minor plumbing and other food-service equipment repairs
• Safely handle, recover, and dispose of refrigerants in accordance with applicable regulations
• Communicate repair findings, recommendations, and service needs clearly to customer
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
• Lead and mentor an apprentice technician as required

What We’re Looking For
