Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Boston, MA seeks an Administrative Clinical Supervisor (ACS) to serve as on-site senior administrative/clinical lead during non-business hours. The ACS collaborates with staff, department leaders, and the Administrator on Call to address issues and ensure policy and procedure implementation.

You will allocate resources, supervise clinical staff, provide mentoring, respond to emergencies, evaluate staff, and communicate practice changes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• License Registered Nurse required.
• American Heart Association – Basic Life support Certificate required; 5-8 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient throughput by assessing local unit needs and allocating resources (staff/materials).
• Leads response to Code Help policy with relevant teams.
• Directs bed utilization in absence of Admission Facilitator.
• Provides clinical consultation, support, education and mentoring to clinical staff.
• Communicates changes in clinical practice and implements policies and guidelines.
• Responds to staff performance issues and manages fitness for duty.
• Participates in staff evaluations as requested by nurse manager.
• Rounds on clinical units addressing acuity, staff, physician concerns and patient/family issues.
• Responds to patient complaints and documents interventions/outcomes.
• Uses internal department structure for patient complaint follow-up.
• Responds to all patient care emergencies and educates staff on emergency response standards.
