Job summary

Nouryon is seeking a Chemical Processor to join our Axis, AL plant on a full-time, on-site basis. The role reports to the Area Superintendent and supports safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include plant cleaning, data logging, training as a relief operator, process sampling, and ensuring material handling and inventory security. Prior plant operations experience is preferred and a High School Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean various areas of the plant as directed by the Production Supervisor.
• Maintain log book, instruction book, safety check sheets, and round sheets to inform supervision on all routine and non‑routine communications for safe and efficient operations.
• Train as relief operator and relieve Second Class operator when directed by Production Supervisor.
• Complete required training as planned on the ATP.
• Complete necessary process control sampling and analysis.
• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and practices for safety of other Operators, maintenance personnel, and contractors.
• Assist with handling of raw materials and water treatment chemicals.
• Participate in the development of the AOP and complete improvement projects on the plans.
• Be responsible for raw materials receipt, inventory and security.
• Observe the site for potential intruders, trespassers, or other non‑authorised persons; report suspicious items, persons or activities.
