Job summary

Zerocater is hiring On-Site Catering Attendants in San Jose, CA, to support our client sites with setup, service and guest interaction. You will greet guests, assist with meal service and help ensure every detail runs smoothly during shifts.

This part-time role offers $23.00 per hour, a $15 monthly cell-phone stipend, and a 401(k) match with immediate vesting. A Food Handler’s Certificate is preferred or can be obtained with company assistance.

Qualifications

• Background in hospitality, food service (highly preferred), or a similar customer-facing role.
• Willing to work as a team to ensure smooth execution.
• Responsible and attentive with ability to work with little supervision.
• Real passion for food service and a customer-first mentality.
• Must have a Food Handler's Certificate or be willing to obtain one (cost covered by Zerocater).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Delivery Intake: Ensure smooth transportation of food from vendor to the client’s meal space and verify all items.
• Oversee Meal Set-up/clean-up: Guide food layout, set up equipment, manage presentation, replenish dishes; store leftovers properly.
• Maintaining Cleanliness/food safety: Keep serving areas clean and organized during service.
• Customer Experience: Greet guests, respond to requests, ensure satisfaction.
• Meal Feedback: Take inventory, gather preferences, communicate with on-site employees, share feedback with HQ.
