Job summary

The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) in Phoenix is hiring a Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist to protect children, support families, and coordinate services in the field.

This on-site role requires 40 hours weekly, interviewing families, assessing safety, preparing reports, attending court hearings, and guiding case plans. Training includes a 22-week CORE program with paid accommodations; salary starts at about $21.71/hour with step increases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree earned from an accredited institution; OR 4 years as DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Successful completion of 22 weeks of in-person classroom and field training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in homes and in the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Manage cases within your assigned region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
