Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is hiring for the Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist in Payson, AZ. The role is full-time, on-site, requiring field work, interviews, and coordination of services to safeguard children.

You’ll complete a 22-week training program, with progressive pay steps starting at $21.7068/hour, rising through training and years of service to $27.66/hour. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, retirement, holidays, parental leave, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree earned from an accredited institution or 4 years as an Arizona DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory 39 month driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered.
• Successfully complete the 22 weeks of in person classroom and field training program.

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in homes and in the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Manage cases within the assigned region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
