Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a Cable Technician in Texas for an on-site role to install, terminate, and test low-voltage systems across multiple technologies, supporting a major Oracle project valued around $100M.

Responsibilities include pulling cables, building telecom rooms, installing devices such as card readers, cameras, and WAPs, interpreting blueprints, tracking materials, and ensuring OSHA-compliant installations in data centers and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Experience with cable pulling, copper terminations, fiber porting, and basic testing preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
• Ability to read blueprints and test cabling systems to meet standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling systems including copper and fiber.
• Build telecom room infrastructure with racks, grounding, and cable components.
• Install devices like card readers, cameras, and WAPs.
• Interpret blueprints, track materials, troubleshoot cabling issues.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements and collaborate with project teams.
