Qualifications

• 4+ years of multi-state U.S. payroll experience including CA and Puerto Rico.
• Experience with payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits.
• Knowledge of CA wage and hour laws.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; pivot tables preferred.
• Experience with time and attendance and payroll reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for all employees; calculate wages, deductions, and benefits.
• Validate timecards and attendance data prior to payroll submission.
• Ensure tax compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
• Prepare payroll reports and year-end filings (W-2s).
• Administer employee benefits and deductions in payroll.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally.
• Maintain payroll system integrity and support updates.
• Reconcile payroll registers and assist audits.
• Protect sensitive payroll data and confidentiality.
