Job summary

Nokian Tyres is seeking an on-site Procurement Specialist at the Dayton, TN factory. You will manage the purchase-to-pay process, handle end-to-end sourcing (RFI/RFP), and partner with IT, HR and Finance to align procurement strategies.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in operational procurement, strong communication skills, and the ability to make critical decisions with limited information while ensuring supply continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management or related field.
• 1–3 years in operational procurement within a global manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
• Decision making on material demand, PO timing, and pricing within approval limits.
• Proficient with MS Office and quick to learn new systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication with global vendors and leadership.
• Must be located within commuting distance to Dayton, TN.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase-to-pay process in nominated categories.
• End-to-end sourcing: RFI/RFP, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate terms.
• Act as a business partner to IT, HR, Finance to align procurement strategies.
• Plan purchase orders and delivery schedules within framework agreements.
• Analyze supplier spend and Total Cost of Ownership to identify cost reductions.
• Monitor supplier stability and manage supplier KPI measurement and invoice errors.
• Coordinate intercompany material flow with logistics and escalate supply risks.
