Actalent is seeking a Buyer Planner in Centennial, CO to support production by purchasing raw materials and planning schedules. The role emphasizes material availability, supplier management, and MRP execution to help meet on‑time delivery and production goals.

The position offers exposure to procurement, inventory management, and manufacturing operations with training emphasis on both buying and planning disciplines. This is a fully onsite, permanent role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience buying or planning in a manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and planning modules
• Strong communication with suppliers and cross‑functional teams
• Proficient in inventory management and demand planning
• Experience using ERP systems (IFS) for purchasing, planning and reporting
• Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Open to training in either buying or planning areas as needed

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials and components to support production and project needs.
• Manage supplier orders and maintain relationships with assigned suppliers.
• Create and process purchase orders aligned with manufacturing requirements.
• Support day‑to‑day manufacturing needs by ensuring material availability.
• Run MRP to generate and review material and production requirements.
• Coordinate demand requirements based on production plans and customer needs.
• Release and schedule shop orders to support production activities.
• Schedule production to optimize capacity and on‑time delivery.
• Manage inventory levels to balance availability with cost and efficiency.
• Balance workloads to support smooth production flow.
• Coordinate materials for R&D and new machinery builds.
• Utilize the ERP system (IFS) to manage planning and purchasing.
• Run ERP‑based reports and dashboards for supply chain performance.
• Maintain visibility for cross‑functional teams.
• Provide data updates to support metrics and inventory control.
• Monitor stock levels and usage for inventory management.
• Conduct demand planning to align supply with forecasted needs.
• Release shop orders in alignment with MRP and capacity plans.
• Support ongoing production and special projects with purchasing.
