Transwestern is seeking an Assistant Building Engineer to perform maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building systems under the supervision of the Chief Engineer. This on-site role requires completing work orders, grounds maintenance, painting, caulking and more.

The position notes a pay range of $25.00 - $28.00 hourly and requires a high school diploma or GED with at least two years of related experience. On-site work in Rockville, MD is mandatory, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of related maintenance experience.
• Trade school training or equivalent education acceptable.
• Universal CFC certification preferred or working toward CFC certification and/or local or state license in mechanical or HVAC trade.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair building systems including plumbing, roofs, drains, and HVAC.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings and equipment.
• Maintain equipment per preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with others as needed.
• Manage energy usage to minimize operating costs.
• Maintain lighting systems and related components.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
