Hoffman Construction Co of America is seeking a BIM Modeling & Detailing Lead to support the VDC Department in Boise, Idaho. The role focuses on 3D modeling, shop drawings, multi-trade BIM coordination, and contributing to project planning with a constructability focus.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in the AEC industry.
Experience delivering large, complex projects preferred.
High School diploma or GED required; a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage LOD 400 fabrication-quality 3D models for assigned self-perform scopes.
Produce accurate shop drawings for field use informed by design documents.
Manage 3D models to support quantity take-offs and material tracking.
Collaborate with field crews to deliver visualizations and advance model-to-field workflows.
Review schedule and develop logistics plans and 4D exhibits for field coordination.
Lead coordination meetings with internal teams and third-party modeling firms.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients and consultants; manage issues.
Provide updates on VDC activities and upcoming deliverables to the project team.
Develop and maintain model asset libraries and reusable details.
Support integration of emerging VDC technologies into workflows.
