Qualifications

• Fluent bilingual English and Spanish required.
• 1–3 years payroll experience, preferably in construction/engineering.
• Knowledge of prevailing wage, weighted averages, and certified payroll.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with payroll/timekeeping software systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential payroll and employee information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee timekeeping records to ensure hours are submitted accurately and on schedule.
• Follow up with employees and supervisors regarding missing or questionable time entries.
• Review hours for accuracy, completeness, and proper project allocation.
• Ensure labor hours are charged to the correct jobs, departments, and cost centers.
• Investigate unusual payroll entries and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing.
• Prepare payroll data accurately and within established deadlines.
• Reconcile timesheets and payroll records before processing.
• Assist with payroll adjustments, deductions, corrections, and other payroll-related transactions.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding payroll and timekeeping.
• Provide administrative support for HR-related activities as needed.
