Job summary

The Raymond Corporation is seeking a Battery Service Technician to service and support batteries and related equipment at customer locations. The role requires diagnosing, repairing and maintaining equipment, with emphasis on safety and cost efficiency.

Candidates should have a High School diploma and may have a Technical School certificate or an associate degree. Forklift, automotive, diesel or related industrial experience is preferred. Overtime or weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electricity.
• Strong customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up and deliver batteries and chargers and install new equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair battery equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule and guidelines.
• Complete paperwork and time records accurately.
• Maintain inventory of parts, tools and consumables.
• Follow safety policies and procedures including OSHA/DOT Hazmat.
