Job summary

Manor Vail Lodge seeks a Banquet Event Manager to oversee on-site execution of catering, banquet, and conference events at our Vail property. You will lead the banquet team, coordinate with the Catering & Conference Services Manager, and ensure flawless service from pre-conference to post-event.

Responsibilities include client liaison, reviewing BEOs for accuracy, scheduling staff, managing vendor coordination, and timely event billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; hospitality degree preferred.
• 3–5 years banquet/event operations experience, including at least 2 years supervising banquet or event service staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional with group leaders and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver flawless banquet, catering, and conference event execution with attention to detail.
• Serve as the on-site liaison, meeting group contacts and guiding them through the event.
• Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for accuracy prior to execution.
• Lead the Banquets team and coordinate staffing and payroll sign-off.
• Coordinate in-house and third-party AV vendors; collaborate with culinary on timing and presentation.
• Post and maintain the weekly Event Schedule and ensure timely event billing; use Delphi software; identify additional opportunities.
