Manor Vail Lodge in Vail, CO seeks a Banquet Event Manager to execute catering, banquet, and conference events on-site. Lead the banquet team from pre-conference through post-event, coordinating with Sales, Catering & Conference Services, and culinary teams to ensure flawless execution.

The role requires 3–5 years in banquet/event operations with supervision, strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's in Hospitality Management preferred.
• 3–5 years of banquet, catering, or hotel/resort event ops experience, including supervision.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Delphi with event-management software; AV coordination.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain TIPS certification.

Responsibilities

• Event execution and presentation: Deliver flawless, thoughtfully presented execution of every catering, banquet, and conference event.
• Client liaison and communication: Serve as the group's on-site point person and main contact during events.
• Event handoff and planning review: Review BEOs for accuracy before execution.
• Team leadership and staffing: Lead banquet staff and sign off on payroll; manage tip pool.
• On-site execution and vendor coordination: Coordinate AV vendors and culinary timing.
• Administrative and reporting: Maintain event schedule, billing; use Delphi software; seek follow-ups.
• Team collaboration: Attend meetings and support other departments as needed.
