Job summary

WME Express is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician for a on-site role in Sunnyvale Foster City area to build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical hardware used in autonomous vehicle development.

The role requires 4–6 years of electro-mechanical/electronics assembly experience, strong soldering/crimping/wiring skills, ability to read schematics, and competence with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and power supplies.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of electro-mechanical/electronics assembly experience preferred.
• Strong electronics assembly skills.
• Able to read schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience with soldering, crimping, wiring, and assembly tools.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other lab equipment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Trade school or technical training is acceptable; Bachelor\'s degree is not required if experience is strong.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test electronic hardware and prototypes.
• Read schematics, drawings, and technical instructions.
• Solder, crimp, install wiring, and assemble components.
• Use hand tools, torque tools, and electronic test equipment.
• Inspect completed work for quality.
• Troubleshoot assembly and hardware issues.
• Assist engineers with prototype builds and new product development.
• Keep accurate records and maintain a clean, safe work area.
