Job summary

WME Express is seeking a Mission Readiness Associate in San Francisco, CA. The role requires on-site work with shifts spanning early mornings to late evenings and weekends as scheduled.

You will ensure autonomous vehicles are clean, charged, safe, and ready for daily testing and operations. You will prep vehicles, assist technicians, and handle basic paperwork while supporting deployment, testing, and incident response efforts.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of work experience.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Automotive, technical, or hands-on experience preferred.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, push, pull, and use stairs during a shift.
• Basic computer skills; Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace experience is a plus.
• Able to travel locally and occasionally nationally.
• Must pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Clean, charge, and prepare autonomous vehicles.
• Check vehicle equipment and software before testing.
• Move and organize vehicles, equipment, and parts.
• Complete basic paperwork and daily documentation.
• Help technicians with basic vehicle tasks such as wiring checks and part changes.
• Support vehicle recovery and incident response.
• Assist with testing, traffic control, cone courses, and support driving.
• Report problems and help resolve issues quickly.
