Job summary

IEP Worldwide is seeking an Automation Technician in Fair Play, Missouri, to build, install, configure, and maintain automation equipment across industrial environments. You will diagnose issues, perform mechanical and electrical repairs, and support upgrades and migrations with engineers and other technicians to ensure safe, efficient operation of automated machinery.

Ideal candidates have hands-on panel building experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems, and a proactive safety

Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues in automation equipment and related systems.
Hands-on experience with panel building and installation. Troubleshooting is a plus.
Solid knowledge of electricity and industrial electrical systems, including reading schematics and working safely with power and controls.
Experience performing preventive maintenance on machines and automation systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Background in industrial automation, including PLCs, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
Ability to use hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing settings is beneficial; willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies is essential.
