United Contractor Services is hiring an On-site Assistant Project Manager to work with a seasoned Project Manager on a large commercial interior project in Louisiana. You'll be based at the jobsite, handling documentation, coordination, and follow-up to keep the project moving.

This role involves coordination with field teams, schedule support, submittals, and punch lists, with hands-on mentorship and a defined path to Project Manager for those who prove themselves.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in project coordination or admin on commercial construction; GC experience translates.
• Degree in Construction Management or related; field/office experience considered in place of a degree.
• Comfort reading drawings and specs, or eagerness to learn.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Experience with Procore or Bluebeam bonus

Responsabilités

• Coordinate between PM, field supervision, GC teams, and material suppliers.
• Assist in building/maintaining schedules; plan crew needs; line up material deliveries.
• Process submittals, RFIs, change orders; track daily reports; organize docs.
• Collaborate on quality; carry punch lists to closeout.
• Track quantities vs costs; flag concerns to PM early.
• Resolve on-the-ground issues (delayed shipments, conflicts, approvals) in real time.
