Job summary

The role requires strong technical/functional knowledge, collaboration with Institutional Technology, and experience with major financial aid systems to optimize awarding and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
• Five (5) years' experience working in a college or university student financial aid office.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state student financial aid rules and tax laws.
• Experience with proprietary/open-source systems such as Jenzabar EX, SQL, PowerFAIDS, COD, Ellucian Colleague, Banner or comparable systems.
• Windows-based environment with Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Implement activities in the operation of student financial aid programs.
• Counsel and advise students applying for financial aid to determine eligibility.
• Administer and reconcile numerous federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
• Maintain Powerfaids module and oversee system processing and rule updates.
• Award, track, and report institutional and external scholarships.
