Specialty Coating Systems, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineering Technician I to manage engineering runs and develop production processes under leadership.

The role involves assisting with MSPs, root-cause analysis, cost-reduction efforts, and training equipment operators. You will support masking operations, evaluate new materials, and help document standard procedures while traveling to other sites for transfer of knowledge and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma with 2+ years of related work experience, or a 1-year college/technical certificate and no work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Good math skills for measurements, rates, ratios and graphs.
• Must be self-motivated with minimal supervision, and able to communicate clearly.

Responsabilités

• Manages all aspects of performing engineering runs and trials on customer parts.
• Explores and integrates new mask materials, tooling, and processing for successful mask/demask operations.
• Creates technician tutorials and instructions for processes and methods.
• May travel to other SCS locations to train staff and support process transfers.
• Manages tool/material lists, process techniques and guidelines to ensure consistency.
• Performs failure analysis and develops solutions for process challenges.
• Assists engineers with projects requiring masking and demasking knowledge.
• Capable of reports and summaries of work as needed.
