Job summary

Interstate Equities Corporation in Union City, CA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our 60‑unit apartment community. The role requires prior apartment maintenance experience, strong communication with residents and team members, and the ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with on‑call duties for emergencies.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with janitorial tasks and OSHA guidelines.
• Facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• 2–3 years of apartment community experience preferred.
• Customer service oriented and team‑minded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of property grounds, leasing office, common areas, amenities including fitness center and pool.
• Walk grounds and collect litter; sweep dumpster areas.
• Assist maintenance and office staff with tenant communications and postings.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Identify hazards and suggest improvements; provide on‑call support as needed.
