BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina is seeking an Accounting Technician II for an on-site, full-time role in Columbia. You will perform routine to moderately complex clerical and accounting tasks across general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, including journal entries and reconciliations.

Qualifications include an associate degree or two years of related experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field required.
• Two years of job-related work experience or degree equivalency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Good oral and written communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and math aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial data related to refunds, invoices, disbursements, deposits, and journal entries.
• Ensure data is complete, accurate, and organized for processing.
• Provide supervisor with daily/weekly/monthly accounting activity summaries.
• Research and identify errors such as overpayments or misapplication of funds.
• Resolve routine questions and refer complex issues to higher levels.
