Job summary

Cobalt Service Partners is seeking Controllers to lead accounting operations across multiple U.S. locations. The role centers on close, revenue recognition for projects, job costing, and ongoing GAAP discipline to support informed operating decisions.

Our teams manage multi-entity environments with evolving scope; you will collaborate across operations, finance, and audits to deliver accurate financials and insights. In-person roles with a clear path to leadership and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical accounting across public, audit, or complex operations.
• GAAP expertise including ASC 606, percentage-of-completion, and work-in-process accounting.
• Experience with ERP systems in multi-entity or growing environments; payroll tools knowledge.
• Strong Excel and data-modeling skills (lookups, pivot tables).
• Self-motivated, organized and able to bring structure to ambiguity.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Close & reporting: run monthly close and improve speed and accuracy.
• Project revenue: manage revenue recognition for projects including ASC 606.
• Job costing: own job costing and margin visibility with operations.
• Analysis & forecasting: produce EBITDA, cash flow, and decision-focused analyses.
• Accounting maturity: assist moving from cash to accrual accounting and ensure data integrity.
• Transactional finance: oversee payroll, AR, AP, and expenses; delegate as needed.
• GAAP discipline: enforce GAAP across the accounting function.
