Job summary

Regal Wine Company is seeking a Sales Representative in California to drive revenue in the On-Premise division. The role involves educating accounts through tastings and events, building strong relationships with management and suppliers, and growing the territory with strategic planning.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of sales experience (wine experience preferred), is able to travel up to six times per year within California, and can lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining a professional

Qualifications

• Must possess a current driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals within assigned territory and pursue new placements, cases, and revenue.
• Provide educational wine training to accounts and staff through tastings, seminars, and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Regal Wine Company management and supplier partners.
• Manage territory growth and account planning to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare and deliver wine presentations aligned with Regal Wine Company standards.
• Foster professional relationships with key accounts in the territory.
• Communicate information between management, accounts, and marketplace.
• Continue to develop wine knowledge and sales skills.
• Adapt to changes quickly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by District/Regional Manager.

Position Title: Sales Representative

Reports to: District Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Achieve sales goals within assigned territory. Goals may include new placements, case, and revenue goals
• Provide educational wine training to accounts and staff through tastings, seminars, and special events
• Develop and continue to build relationships with Regal Wine Company Management and supplier partners
• Maintain and grow the territory and drive new business. Prioritize and preplan daily for each account to maximize efficiency and territory growth
• Construct unique wine presentations that embrace Regal Wine Company standards, programs, and initiatives
• Grow and foster professional relationships with key accounts in assigned territory
• Manage account receivable
• Communicate pertinent information between management, accounts, and marketplace
• Continue to develop wine knowledge, business acumen and sales skills to increase professional acumen
• Ability to adapt and respond to change quickly
• Other duties as assigned by District Manager or Regional Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years sales experience required; wine sales experience preferred
• Available to work flexible hours, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekends for special events
• Ability to travel within California up to 6 times per year, out of the territory, for education and training
• Able to repetitively lift a minimum of 50 lbs; be able to bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and lift repetitively
• Must possess a current driver’s license; maintain current auto insurance and a clean driving record

WAGE TRANSPARENCY:

Pay Range: $65,000- $85,000

Pay range includes employee’s base salary and commission (paid monthly on sales).

In addition to the salary and commission, sales representatives are eligible for a discretionary bonus, $500 a month auto allowance, gas card for business, company issued cell phone, expense account and other sales incentives.
