Job summary

Regal Wine Company is seeking a Sales Representative to drive sales within a California territory. You will educate accounts and staff through tastings and events, build strong relationships with management and supplier partners, and grow the territory while planning daily routes to maximize efficiency and revenue.

The role includes account receivable management, ongoing wine knowledge development, and the flexibility to adapt to changes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years sales experience required.
• Wine sales experience preferred.
• Ability to travel within California up to 6 times per year, for education and training.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain insurance.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals within assigned territory (new placements, case, and revenue).
• Provide educational wine training to accounts and staff via tastings, seminars, and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Regal Wine Company management and supplier partners.
• Grow territory, prioritize daily planning for accounts to maximize growth.
• Create wine presentations aligned with Regal Wine Company standards, programs, and initiatives.
• Manage accounts receivable and communicate with management and marketplace.
• Continue to develop wine knowledge, business acumen, and sales skills.
• Adapt quickly to change and perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals within assigned territory. Goals may include new placements, case, and revenue goals
• Provide educational wine training to accounts and staff through tastings, seminars, and special events
• Develop and continue to build relationships with Regal Wine Company Management and supplier partners
• Maintain and grow the territory and drive new business. Prioritize and preplan daily for each account to maximize efficiency and territory growth
• Construct unique wine presentations that embrace Regal Wine Company standards, programs, and initiatives
• Grow and foster professional relationships with key accounts in assigned territory
• Manage account receivable
• Communicate pertinent information between management, accounts, and marketplace
• Continue to develop wine knowledge, business acumen and sales skills to increase professional acumen
• Ability to adapt and respond to change quickly
• Other duties as assigned by District Manager or Regional Manager

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years sales experience required; wine sales experience preferred
• Available to work flexible hours, Monday to Friday, and occasional weekends for special events
• Ability to travel within California up to 6 times per year, out of the territory, for education and training
• Able to repetitively lift a minimum of 50 lbs; be able to bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and lift repetitively
• Must possess a current driver's license; maintain current auto insurance and a clean driving record

Pay Range: $65,000-$85,000

Pay range includes employee's base salary and commission (paid monthly on sales).

In addition to the salary and commission, sales representatives are eligible for a discretionary bonus, $500 a month auto allowance, gas card for business, company issued cell phone, paid home internet (up to $50/month), expense account and other sales incentives.
