Job summary

e&e IT Consulting Services, Inc. seeks an experienced Site Reliability Engineer for an on-site contract in Harrisburg, PA. You will own production operations, drive reliability, and partner with development teams to improve readiness and resilience.

Responsibilities include defining SLOs, building observability, automation, and incident response. Strong Linux and Kubernetes skills, plus experience with GitOps and IaC, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
• Experience with observability across metrics, logs, and traces.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps.
• Knowledge of SRE, incident response, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain availability, reliability, and health of on-premises systems.
• Define, measure, monitor, and maintain SLOs for critical services.
• Build observability using metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
• Support on-call operations, incident detection, troubleshooting, and recovery.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, and maintenance to reduce toil.
• Operate Kubernetes, Linux, databases, networking, and secrets management.
• Develop scripts and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation (Helm, GitOps).
• Support CI/CD processes and pipelines (GitLab).
• Collaborate with teams to assess production readiness and risks.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
