Job summary

Aquent in United States (Texas/Southlake area) seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to join a critical production ops team on a temporary contract. You will develop Python automation, automate infrastructure across Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, and drive reliability for high-scale systems.

You will collaborate on CI/CD, incident response, RCA, and proactive optimization, leveraging Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, and other tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, DevOps, or similar.
Strong Python programming for automation and tooling development.
Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).

Responsibilities

Develop Python-based automation to reduce manual operational effort.
Automate infrastructure management across Linux, Windows, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
Integrate tools and platforms via APIs and client libraries.
Support CI/CD automation and deployment reliability initiatives.
Monitor production systems to meet reliability and availability objectives.
Participate in incident response, RCA, and proactive automation improvements.
Assist in disaster recovery, failover testing, and observability enhancements.
Build dashboards/alerts using Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar tools.
Explore AI/ML-driven operational improvements and AI-enabled automation.
