Innova Solutions is seeking an On Prem Power BI Architect for a 12-month contract in Charlotte, NC. The role requires hands-on Power BI development (DAX, Power Query, data modeling) and strong SQL skills, with a hybrid onsite pattern (3 days on site).

Must have experience in BI governance, COE engagement, and delivering robust Power BI capabilities across enterprise environments. Strong communication and leadership in COE office hours are expected.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a On Prem Power BI Architect.

Position type: Contract (3 Days Onsite) Hybrid role

Job Role: On Prem Power BI Architect

Duration: 12 months

Location: Charlotte, NC

Must Have:

• On- prem Power BI
• Microsoft fabric

Key skills needed:

• Deep hands on Power BI development experience (DAX, Power Query, data modeling).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for dataset refresh issues, gateways, permissions, and performance.
• Ability to support tenants with challenges in implementing Power BI capabilities.
• Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills to lead COE office hours and user education sessions.
• Solid SQL skills and comfort working with technical and business partners.
• Self starter who can provide guidance, best practices, and help drive Power BI adoption.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years Power BI report/dashboard development experience (DAX, Power Query, modeling, report design).
• Strong troubleshooting experience supporting Enterprise BI environments.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfortable leading sessions and office hours.
• Strong problem solving mindset and ability to work independently.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric capacities.
• Experience supporting or contributing to a BI Center of Excellence (COE).
• Knowledge of SSRS modernization and migration to Power BI / PBIRS.
• Experience mentoring developers or leading BI training sessions.
• Familiarity with enterprise BI governance, RLS/OLS, and secure data practices.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $60/hr on w2 to $66/HR on W2

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
